Clutch
My ears always
buzz a bit when I
hear a new word.
And ‘clutch’ is
one of those words.
I don’t mean to:
grasp or hold strongly,
tightly or suddenly.
I don’t mean to:
operate an automobile
clutch.
And I don’t mean clutch
as in: a small purse.
I’m referring to ‘clutch’
as a modern or urban
descriptor.
In other words
the slang “clutch”.
The one used to say
that something is
extremely good, useful, or
exactly what’s needed
when it’s needed.
OR used to describe
something as "excellent"
or "effective".
THIS is the definition
I’m really diggin’.
Why?
Because for me
it’s another positive,
buoy-up expression.
As in:
“My family/neighbor/friend,
etc; really came through
for me today. It was clutch.”
“Your support is clutch.”
Or, as my daughter says:
“Hey guurrl. That outfit’s clutch.”
'Clutch' is definitely part
of my vocabulary now.
So, how would you
use the word, “clutch’?
I value you + your views,
so let's communicate!
