Every Drop

  

I recently shared the joyful 

company of a 91 year old man 

and his 86 year old wife.

 

They had been married 65 years.

 How grand. (And how novel, 'eh?)

 So what did I gather from them 

individually + collectively?

 Well - they were both still 

wringing every drop of life 

out of every day.

 Generosity with their time, 

talents + treasures

 played a huge part in their 

effective partnership.

 

And their wisdom?

 

Their wisdom was something 

they saved for those that 

took the time to ask for it.

 

Oh, to be like them.

 

Oh, to wring every salient drop 

from this one precious life of ours.

 

Yesterday, today + forever.

 

Every drop.
