The Landscape Underneath

There are a lot of distracting 

things happening on each

of our “shores”.

It’s a busy landscape.

So let’s envision a deep sea dive.

Beneath the surface, 

it’s calmer, deeper, quieter 

and more serene.

Because the landscape 

underneath is a more 

contemplative place.

This place offers us a stillness 

we can’t find any where else.

It’s the kind of landscape 

that affords us peace 

and perspective.

And it’s one we should cultivate

when we need a better 

state of mind.
