Unofficial Mandates

How can we possibly keep up?

There’s always another 

unofficial mandate to follow!

It seems society can’t 

make-up it’s mind.

It says:

Be yourself, 

but be thin.

Express yourself, 

but be politically correct.

Be approachable, 

but never “vulnerable”.

Act your age, 

but look young.

At the end of the day, 

a cultural copy isn’t sustainable.

A superficial image 

won’t go the distance.

How about:

Walk in the truth of 

your incandescent light.

And trust you’ve got 

something unique to 

radiate to the world.

 

Think about what

makes YOU unique + SMILE.

I value you + your views,
