Bullets or Seeds?
I was struck by the meaningful words
of the Former U.S. Senate Chaplain:
Richard Halverson.
“You can offer your ideas to people
as bullets or as seeds.
You can shoot them or sow them.
Ideas used as bullets
kill inspiration and motivation.
Ideas used as seeds take root,
grow + bear fruit in the life
in which they are planted.”
So the new Sunday SideLines
question we can
ask ourselves today is:
Are we using bullets or seeds
to share our ideas and/or our
truths?
One kills growth.
The other produces it.
It seems like a no-brainer to me.
